That is 1st line C qualities, not for 2nd line C. That guy usually spends more time in his end playing against best opponent line and possesses an ability to produce. Rucchin, Holik, Nedved those are fine 2nd line centermen because of their defensive abilities.
JI has all physical qualities and talent to become the power forward this team needs desperately. He could be Messier replacement if brought up right (although Mark was already a huge star at his age). I hope he will be. Next season will tell. For now I would use him against weaker opponent lines to gain some confidence and experience or give him a winger job for a while. That's why he needs to be moved down ones Rucchin is back. I think that is going to happen. Hossa should go to Hartford.
