Take a look at what star players have been traded for over the last decade or so... typically, the players going the other way are "stars" or really truly become elite players.
not my problem if those two teams still want to make those kinds of trades. our three stars fill the right positions and trading any one of those guys would create holes in our lineup that can't easily be filled (ex. a deal involving subban for staal), or they'd be marginal upgrades to our current players at best (ex. pacioretty for ryan/nash).

and trading for staal is lunacy unless he is signed before-hand.
