Most of the speculation, in a scenario where Nash or Ryan goes to Philly, is that JVR would be part of the package going the other way.

Unfortunately, the only way I see JVR being an option for the Sabres - or other teams - to chase is if the Flyers end up missing out on Nash and Ryan and instead sign either Parise or Suter. In that situation, they'd need to free up cap space to afford the free agent deal and may be willing to deal JVR for a smaller package of prospects.
