The main problem with Johansson at center is not poor FO%. Hell, Malkin has poor FO%. The real issue is that he does not make plays. How many memorable assists by MJ can you recall from this season? We could deal with him being below average at the dot if he compensated for that in other ways, which he doesn't, and was therefore moved to the wing.

Unfortunately, there's also a problem with MJ at the wing - he turned out to be a very poor finisher. His shot is average at best, and he misses a ridiculous percentage of tip-ins. Seriously, if MJ scored at last 1/3 of his open net tip-in opportunities during this past playoff run, Caps would be in the Conference Finals.
How about the one on the playoff OT winner by Backstrom in the Boston series?
