Galchenyuk forfeited his Russian passport, he's basically American at this point.
Aside from that, I wouldn't do it just because known commodity>unknown commodity. Ennis is probably the most dynamic offensive player we have, and his value to Buffalo is probably higher than to any other team in the league because of his chemistry with Stafford.
CBJ probably says no anyway because, if they're moving Nash, they need to draft a franchise forward, and 2nd overall gives them an alarmingly better chance of doing that than 12.
