Well this is great. There is quite a few months till camp and then maybe a lockout. Do you think the Rangers are starting to think Sauer can make it back relatively soon? If so maybe just sign a vet like Sarich for some toughness.

by the way Carkner is a UFA on D and if Prust goes he could beat people up and buy time for McIlrath

Define soon? I still think it's way too early to tell if and when he could be back. For all we know he's completely healed in the next month or two and he's ready to go in camp...or he could have a setback and be out for much or all of next season...and beyond. The good news is that we're finally getting good news. That's a start.
