Not a bad thing and it's good to have him in the wings should Lavi next season still not figure out how to beat very good defensive teams like NYR, Boston, NJ, etc.......

One thing about Murray is he is very good at developing D men and he's been said to be good with European players as well but yes from an offensive standpoint he is pretty much the complete opposite of Laviolette. Maybe the contrast will help although typically you want continuity between your farm team and the big club.

Finally, Stevens initial success with the Flyers IMO was as a result of having Murray help from a tactical perspective. Once Murray left for LA, Stevens couldn't coach the team out of a paper bag and they were horrendously out of shape and undisciplined.....by Dec until Lavi was brought in the Flyers were a complete wreck. In other words..Stevens needed a baby sitter just like the team...
