Oh I completely agree! I have made the drive from Denver to Vancouver in the spring, summer, and fall and it is absolutely gorgeous. But November and March (GROSS!!!!) weather is very winter-y. There is a reason why I never made that trip from October-March. I grew up in Colorado and it can be just awful on I-70 on the Western Slope (Grand Junction-Eisenhower Tunnel). If you do drive to Colorado in either of those months, especially March (snowiest month for Colorado and the high country), BE CAREFUL! Listen to radio reports on road conditions. If you do that (and have alternate routes planned), you should be fine.
