Not that I am disappointed in Aberg, as I believe he will also be a good player, but I view a guy like Kerdiles as more of a need for this team. I think Kerdiles is more NHL ready than Aberg is.

To move up, you have to find a team willing to move down. 95% of the time, teams would prefer to keep their better pick. Every now and then, you'll get a Feaster or Snow who is targeting a sleeper, but this rarely happens. There was a thread on the main board a couple weeks ago about trading down, and it almost always turns out to be the wrong move. With all the great names left at the beginning of round 2, I highly doubt anyone was looking to give their picks away.
I do agree that Kerdiles was a great pick. I was hoping he'd fall to us as unlikely as it would have been.
