I loved McCabe when he first came to the Leafs. How we got him for Karpovstev and a throw in 4th round pick is still beyond me. The ridiculous contract was what sank him around here and anyone could see the NHL had already figured out the Kabs to McCabe slapper for a PP goal halfway through the season before he was offered it. Can't blame him for signing it. He did become more arrogant as he became less and less effective though in his last couple of seasons as a Leaf. I await Mr. 17K+ posts retort. Simmons is an a-hole through and through.
