Video: 2012 NHL Draft ? Jacob Trouba, Winnipeg Jets

 

The U.S. NTDP program has been prolific in recent years in terms of producing high-end NHL Draft prospects, and the 2012 NHL Draft is no exception.  Three players from this program were chosen in the draft's first round, with Winnipeg Jets selection Jacob Trouba being the highest at ninth overall.

Trouba is a big bodied defenseman with some offensive ability who makes good use of his size.  He skates well for a big man and isn't afraid to throw his weight around.  The Jets are hoping that he becomes a player that opposing forwards dread playing against.

The Rochester, Michigan native will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall, where a tenure under head coach Red Berenson should help Trouba round his game into form.… read more
