Two reasons -

1. We focused more on forwards. There was a record set (or close to it) of the number of defenseman taken in the 1st round this year. So it left some pretty good forwards to the second round like Collberg and Bozon. With Thrower, there were too many D so we lucked out on him too.

2- There was no consensus in the draft. If teams had one player ahead of these guys on their lists, they slip.
