thats my understanding.

i only ask cuz i watched a quick video on it, and was successful in my inline skates, but havent been on the ice to test it yet.

ive searched but i cant really find anything on it. what exactly do i use a backward cross over for? my forward crossover i notice accelerates my down the ice faster, my backward one kind of sends me in an arc. is it used for the same purpose, just on defense or protecting the puck?
