The Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers will be front-runners when the wooing commences Wednesday and expect the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks to make their cases, too. If Schultz really wants to play closer to home, the Canucks can offer the right fit as being part of a veteran core without the pressure of being ’the’ guy.

Vancouver does not have a history of playing young players and giving them opportunities to crack the line-up. Alain Vigneault gives young players a hard time. Mason Raymond,Cody Hodgson,Chris Tanev and Zach Kassian. You can sit there and say those players deserved to be benched or sent back and forth to the AHL but the Rangers have a boatload of young players given opportunities to play by Torts and Rangers management. Torts didn't banish Kreider when he struggled against the Caps.
Edmonton doesn't have a head coach. Ryan Rishaug of TSN who is based in Edmonton

Justin Schultz will field offers Wednesday. Oilers have no coach in place yet. Have to think hell want to know who he's playing for.

Who is making out the line-up? Who is their head coach?
The stupid Vancouver writer brings up the buddy card with the Rangers. They have more than the buddy card.
