Sorry, Dr, but that's incorrect.

One-way just means regardless of where they are playing, they'll get the same $$s. Two-way means they get one salary (usually in hundreds of thousands) if they're playing in NHL, lesser amount (usually tens of thousands) if playing in AHL (or other minor league).

Waivers are applicable depending on experience and age. (Usually for term of ELS they are exempt. And maybe a few more years for the guys who sign at 18.)
