Whatever Price signs for is fair compensation as far as I'm concerned.
In July 2008 Miller signed a 5 year deal paying him 6.25 per season. He'd had a long playoff run but Buffalo was a very good team.
That was 6.25, when the cap was 56.7.
Now if Price signs for 6.75 while the cap is at 70.2 I don't understand on any level how it'd a bad deal at all.
Great players get paid lots of money. If Price was hitting UFA I don't think it's unreasonable to think he would hit 8 million.
This locks him up long term at a fixed rate while the cap is likely to increase as well.
Looking forward to knowing Price is going to be a hab for a very long time.
