The reason i think Kadri would fit that slot so well is that with JVR and Nash's size and skill on the wing it would open up a lot of ice for Kadri to use his hands and playmaking ability. Size on both wings compensates for size down the middle.
JVR - Kadri - Nash = JRV - Giroux - Hartnell
TBH i think the first combo would be more lethal!
