The perceived lack of interest is in large part because Parise publicly suggested that he would not go to the Rangers. Now he may have backed away from that, but going forward with the expectation that we could bring in Parise, even if we were the highest bidder (which we wouldn't be), would be very irresponsible.

As reported by Brooks, the Rangers would surely be interested in Parise, if he has any interest in playing here.
