well yeah...faceoff ability. he moves around with more purpose on the ice--i don't think he's necessarily any smarter than Staubitz but he's a better hockey player overall--no doubt about that. so with staubitz we see stupid penalties and they are egregious and unforgivable because we get nothing back from him. With Konopka we see a player who can fullfill more than one function on the ice, so penalties are a little easier to swallow.
lets not blow this out of proportion--Konopka is healthy scratch material on a deep team never mind his faceoff abilities.
