Point is....Habs ALSO seems unhappy with that signing 'cause they actually went after players that will, AT BEST, make Nokelainen the 13th forward. But Gaudstad will be playing regularly and so will McClement. So 575k I guess is more than enough for a guy who we already know, July 1st, that he'll be eating hot-dogs more often then not. Though Armstromg's "ability" to hurt himself might make him more a regular than anything else....
Point was never about that amount of money for a player. It was about retaining the said player and that, at that time, was not a sign that we were willing to change the face of those bottom lines. I guess today's day served that purpose....
