George Laraque these days is suffering from the exact same problem as George Parros, which is that he doesn't get knock the living anything out of anyone. The number of non-staged fights (the ones that actually mean something) he's been in is just ridiculously low. Other players, even when they have just run a guy, don't line up with that type of player. They have no reason to, so they don't. If he still knocks them down, they have not only just run a guy, but end up with a huge powerplay (or at least with even strength, if the running had been called). That's the opposite of a deterrent, it's an invitation to run guys and then rake in the reward. With Staubitz, there's at least a decent chance that a guy from the other team will think about going. In today's game and leauge, he's way less useless than BGL. I agree that there's something wrong with some of that, but it's just the way it is.
