Biggest difference is ICE604 refs aren't as good at keeping a lid on the game if it gets chippy. Same age group as players, some play in the league, so they either let things go further than they should cause it's their peers, or not as much respect from the players because they are peers. It's not Slapshot, but it is a touch more on ice drama and chippiness.

ASHL refs tend to be older guys who don't want any crap by a bunch of young punks on their watch. hahaha
You nailed it.

Last time I watched my buddy play at ASHL at the Oval, their teams got into a huge scrum. At least four people got tossed.

And yeah Hank, duffers is still around. A friend of mine was playing there last winter season.
