Jam = physical play.
The whole reason behind the Roy for Ott & Pardy deal was that Regier said he wanted to "up the team's compete level" and make them harder to play against.
Marleau has size, but he doesn't use it in a physical way to wear opponents down.
Regier wants to make the Sabres tougher to play against physically. I don't see adding Marleau fitting in with the couple of moves that Regier has made so far this off season and with what he's publicly talked about with regards to the center position.
