Every city is prone to band-wagonism though. I lived in Boston in the early 90's: Fenway and Boston Gardens were easy tix. The curse of the Babe was strong, the Bruins hadn't won crap since Orr, the Celtics were floundering, and Tom Brady was in high school.

Still, the rich history and the die-hard fans with tradition made it a great sports town even then.

Loyal fans make all the difference, so 1/2 capacity still feels like a sellout.
