The asking price would be a NHL roster, top prospect and two #1's. Josh Cooper of the Tennessean speculated during a chat on Friday about what it would take to acquire Weber in a trade. That was price he mentioned. Sign him to a long term deal. Weber's best interests are signing an extension before the CBA expires and new rules are in place.
Maybe the Rangers use their interest in Weber to get Nowson to bend on Rash. The last thing Howson needs is another big player available in a trade.
Pronger went to ANA for Lupul,Smid,2 #1's(one of the #1's was a conditional pick if ANA reached the finals) and #2.
Lupul,Sbisa,2 #1 picks and a conditional pick was the price for Pronger from ANA to Philly
No Perry or Getzlaf or Ryan or Carter or Richards were in those deals.
Sather should pursue Weber. Based the offer on the Pronger deals. No great players were moved for him.
It always seems the Rangers are required to pay more than other teams in these type of trades.

Brooks and Portzline continuing to do the dirty work for Sather and Howson. Kinda funny
