At the same time though, one has to remember that even then, the market for goalies was a tough one for sellers. As for the trade returns, we were winning that trade until Hitchcock and his Midas touch arrived, Halak wasn't doing too hot in St. Louis.
And he has yet to surpass 60 games played in a season...
