I think Elias' shot was a flutterer that he fanned on so it was tough for Huet to pickup. The only one I really fault him on is the Langebrunner one...short side to the glove...has to be stopped. Other than that I don't fault Huet.


My post wasn't meant to infer that posters can't have an opinion on the goals, only that you can't simply say that Huet gave up 4 goals so Gainey must start Aebischer.

I agree on the Elias shot, a classic knuckleball type shot which is notoriously difficult to stop. In terms of the Langebrunner goal, I agree it was stoppable. Although you also have to think pass on a 3 on 1, Huet overplayed his hand and gave Langebrunner too much room on the glove hand side.
