Fair point, however Im assuming that the journalist is innocent until proven guilty.

If he did everything he should have, and the school chooses to not to challange in Canadian court, thats a pretty hard blow for the student. Id be surprised that the school would do that to him, but Im not a lawyer, and really have no true knowledge of how the system works.
