I think that with the prospect of the NHL being closed that it might actually be beneficial to the Senators in a different light. Proper development. Spezza was toiling on the 4th line with JM's team and when the last work stoppage happened he then playing for Bingo. f Where he completely destroyed the league. After the lockout ended he came into the NHL with a tonne of confidence and had a spectacular 3 years in a row. I think that really helped him become who he is today. Having said that, With the work stoppage in the NHL it would make the AHL a much more competitive league so therefore being a better place for development.
