$275 for a tryout, 70 guys show up, nobody makes the team.
(and off the record they have no plans to sign anyone)
it's an easy way to pay for the ice, get some media attn and make 10grand
(jerseys are dug up from last tryouts, guys wear their own socks, equip, etc)
