Yikes, now imagine if it was off by an inch or two and it hit his eye. I would suggest anyone that plays non-professionally to wear a visor at bare minimum. It's not about the toughness/invincible level but personal safety. It's like a cop that doesn't wear a kelvar vest. Just not worth the risk/pain/suffering.
