In that case I wouldn't look at getting skates that are at the bottom of their lines. The CCMs and Bauers you mentioned are such. Look at skates in the mid-end of the spectrum for a person of your build and your desire to play hockey eventually. Try on skates like the CCM U+06, Bauer Supreme One60/One.6, X3.0 or 4.0, Reebok 12K or old 6K, Easton EQ30 or S9 to start. Go with whichever fits you the best.
