Whitney has very little value because of his play, recent injury history, and current salary. The Oilers could trade him for a minimal return but they need at least one vet on each pairing IMO. Ideally, if he gets his game back the Oilers will be rolling with -

Maybe "ideally" isn't the best word to describe the Oilers D situation
