I know everyone hates the previous coaching staff. But they may have
found the best total value for DD and Plenc. DD may be far better on the first
line, and only a bit player in other situations. Plenc may bring equal, or less
offensive on the first line, but he can help DD a lot by doing the "heavy lifting"
in his own end.
And I'm not saying DD is better. I'm saying he looses more when not on the
first line.
For anyone who had the patience to read this Thx. I do think DD has the
best vision amoung our forwards. On D Markov is another story.

+1 buddy. I'm with you 100%. DD has lots of talent that, when used properly, make him able to play at the top level in the NHL. Otherwise, he would play merely "good" placed in other circumstances.
I just can imagine what sort of potential he could unleash with wingers like Semin and Cole by his sides. Semin would probably be very happy; for what I've read, it's pretty fun playing alongside DD.
He makes his winger shines when they give him the space to work.
