He was getting #1 or #2 minutes last year, pretty hard to argue he isn't worth 4 mil per year, especially if you're looking at more than 1 year. If you only sign him for 1 year you set yourself up to pay huge if he has a big year. If he has an all-star year suddenly he will get Doughty money or more(6.25-7 mil/year). If you can get him for 4 years at 4 mil you sign him up and FAST!
