He's one of them, but at
this stage not moreso than other members of the core, and in some ways less. He's certainly the most straight-up offensively talented Jet, but he's not the biggest fan favourite nor does TNSE lean on him for marketing / branding -- Ladd's their guy on that end, and Wheeler, Pavelec (
) and Bogosian all got the FoF treatment around as much or more than Kane.
At any rate, I think what was being suggested was the issue of whether or not Kane was a fit in Winnipeg and with TNSE... but unless it's a truly ludicrous offer, that isn't why they wouldn't match an offer.
