Unless you are referring only to center, which I'm not sure you are since you listed it separately, I don't agree. Vanek, Pominville, Stafford, Foligno, Ott, Leino, Gerbe, Tropp, and perhaps even Adam are options ranging from strong to adequate for the top-9 wing positions.

I would replace that bullet with "elite-level forward talent," as we clearly have less of it than many other teams. The only elite talent today is Vanek, and even he is on the low end of elite. This fact manifests itself every year as Lindy rolls several balanced lines instead of putting together any sort of scoring alpha line - we just don't have any other elite talent to combine at the moment.
