I won't use the notion of getting out of position to throw a hit because that's what every player does when they go for a hit. He does though get flat footed on the blue zone that leads to a few break aways, he can't get the puck out of the D zone all that great. His one asset is that he is Dallas most physical D-man, which with players like Dillon, Oleksiak, Nemeth his one decent asset will be replaced by more then likely much better players.

He couldn't beat out guys like Pardy and Woywitka because while those guys arn't that great either they could move the puck much better then Fistric and at least they had some offensive abilities. Don't mean to be down on the guy but he is what he is a depth defenseman who's okay but not really a player I'd want consistently in the lineup.
You couldn't be more wrong about Pardy and Woywitka. They are bad all around. Pardy might have been OK in Calgary, but he was press box worthy in Dallas. If he plays this year like he did last year, I don't see him playing much. Fistric did beat Pardy out in a big way last year. I'd almost argue Pardy is Joe's worst signing/move since being GM. No question Fistric is a depth guy but his hitting and crease clearing are quite extraordinary.
