I'm going to attempt to play devil's advocate here, just for a second.

If a player has been good and or lucky enough to have earned a NTC clause in his contract and found out he was traded without that clause being honored, I can understand why he might be upset.

Now, he may not have a leg to stand on with this and it may or may not be part of a larger desire not to play for the Islanders. We simply don't know if that's the case. Of course the fact he's just raising this now is interesting and i'm in no way defending him.

Just speaking in terms of the NTC, agents and players fight hard to get those in their contracts and I can at least understand that point of where Visnovsky's coming from.

I wouldn't want to be traded to the Islanders, and I'm a fan!
