And whether you're in the stands or on the ice, you still count against the 23 man limit. The Sens have 13 forwards on 1-way contracts (ie guaranteed an NHL job for all intents and purposes). If they carry 2 extra forwards that leaves room for 1 of Silfverberg, Zibanejad or Stone.

The other 2 who have to start in the AHL just need to hope that there's enough injuries for them to eventually get a brief injury callup so they can impress.
