He *could have* signed Whitney and demoted Caron and put Savard on LTIR. Simple as that and that would have made the team better IMO. He chose not to, just like last summer he chose not do anything but minor tweaks. Our lack of depth was exposed and we went from one of the best teams in the NHL to mediocre with one injury to our top 6.
People can think this is fine we are standing pat, your opinion, but many said last year we needed some upgrades and that was proven correct.
