i have to say...and nashville posters will back me up on it...
i was\am\have been a tomas kloucek fan.
when we acquired him, i was ecstatic. when he spent the year in milwaukee last year...i was disappointed. when this season began, and it looked like he'd have a spot on our roster...i was excited. but then...
he got hurt.
again.
and again.
and again.
with each injury, i lost a little bit of faith. he's a great player...good passer, good skater...in addition to those big hits. HOWEVER...everything you've ever heard about his inability to stay healthy is unfortunately true. nashville was convinced it was something that could be fixed with coaching\teaching him to hit wiser, but it's just not the case. he can't play two games without incurring a serious injury. simon...good work ethic, looked okay in camp...didn't make the team, hasn't done anything since joining the admirals. thrashers fans are familiar with this guy...good character player, but really not much more than a career AHLer.
from the preds perspective...
i'm a bit confused. gamache looks like a decent prospect...one of those, "all the tools" guys...but hasn't put it together yet. we'll see. safronov is, in my opinion, more of a move to improve milwaukee's blueline..and give us an injury call-up, since most of our guys with the admirals are offensive d-men.
the deal is pretty even, in my eyes...but like a previous poster said, time will tell.
