At the very least, no one that the Flyers are concerned with got significantly better. That includes the Rangers. Especially in the division. That leaves the door open at the trade deadline though.
The biggest questions to me are whether or not Luke Schenn excels in the system and if they can find a way to get 25-30 points at even strength, and how crucial it is that Erik Gustafsson take a step forward, because as the lineup sets up he might be the #2 point option on the power play.
Major moves are rarely if ever made in August. Doan is an exception, but I don't see why any major trades would be made ahead of the CBA/pre-season.
