Interestingly, I can't remember many moves in the recent past where the Bruins gave up prospects and got a noteworthy NHL regular in return. Usually their deals involve either a name player (Carter, McLaren, Bourque, etc.) or draft picks. I can't remember the last time they sent off a couple guys from Providence and got a good player in return.
This makes me wonder if the Hilbert/Morrisonn type deal is likely. It seems more likely, from history, that a deal for a name player and/or picks is more likely. But I'd of course be thrilled to move guys who are on the bubble as far as whether they are blue chippers or not.
BTW, is M Samuelsson still considered to be a top prospect or is his stock falling?
