I'm sure that you'll find something you're passionate about or at least interested in, and then it'll make that decision a lot easier.
FWIW, I took a year off (after highschool) and worked full time. Saved up enough to pay for 2 years of school and then went back (hooray for no loans!), I also used the year off to figure out what I actually wanted to do.
So taking a year off was really positive for me.
