I totally agree with this. Even in the prospect camps he's been to, the kid has had goalies in front of him that the staff has focused on (that are older). Look at someone like Howard or Schneider (I'm not saying Gibson will be as good as those two). They were in the minors for a long time. Howard had only played a few games (about 6-8) until he was 25 years old. That's 5 1/2 years from now for Gibson. Schneider is just now 26 1/2 and about to be a #1 goalie for the first time. Before the 10-11 season, Schneider had only played in 8-10 games in the NHL. Both of these goalies were at one point in their development called a "bust" and went through ups and downs.
