We trade our goalie, defenseman, and winger, for a goalie, defenseman and winger, who cumulatively aren't much better, if at all, and give up our 1st round pick, and other picks and prospects.

Bobby Ryan is 25 and has 4 straight 30 goal seasons. He's closer to Kessel's level than Lupul is to him. Remember Lupul in Anaheim? He couldn't find ice time behind Perry, Ryan, and Selanne on the wings already.
