Love to see him adjust and tear it up but he has too many things missing in his environment to produce near what Green is expected to do with the Caps.
Green also played for the heavily offensive oriented caps and in the eastern conference, who are much more comfortable giving big minutes to offensive defenseman with defensive deficiencies, than teams in the West.
For most of his years Green was a top ten league wide ice time leader among defenseman. Elliott is going to have to develop his defensive game to at least Green's level, and probably higher for him to earn the ice time needed in the West to put up big points IMO.
