I can do that play 99 out of 100 times in roller hockey. It's harder to do on the ice, and I can even do it on the ice, too, but to have the presence of mind (or the "balls") to do it in a major junior or college (Mike Legg) game? Well, it has to be respected.

A roller hockey puck will "slide" on top of the blade -- and even if you can "scoop" it, it's dry and has rivets, whereas an ice hockey puck is frozen, wet, has snow/ice on it -- as well as your stick blade. It's much harder to keep it on the blade.
