While I could see where Hudon-Collberg comparisons come from, I have no idea how anyone could make the S.Kost-Hudon comparison. They are built different physically, have different toolboxes, and play the game differently. "Hustle" and "offensive skills" can be found in quite a few different players, and I feel like a few people stopped thinking beyond that.

Sergei came into the league with a lower body that allowed him to play a little bit of slash-and-dash (everything off the rush), even in/around NHL traffic, and simply had to add upper body strength. Hudon has neither, and uses his hands and vision in set plays (so, NOT as much off the rush) to gain his greatest advantage. I also find that Hudon is less likely to lose intensity mid-play/shift. I find them so different, that I really have no idea how people could watch both and see enough similarities to call it a "close comparison".
